It is conducting various long term and short term training programmes in the area of Counselling; Addiction; HIV/AIDS; Pastoral Counselling, Palliative Care, Women Empowerment etc. TRADA is conducting all these training programmes with a view to conscientise the Social Workers, NGOs working in the field and to train and enable more professionals to work in the field of prevention of Addiction and its treatment through counselling.
Since 2004 TRADA is offering various Post graduate degrees under Martin Luther Christian University, Shillong, Meghalaya and is an Affiliated College of the University.

The All Kerala Joint Christian Temperance Movement (Started in 1961 by all the Christian Bishops of Kerala) was in the forefront of the crusade against Alcoholism and Drug addiction through its various diocesan and parish level units in almost all Christian churches in Kerala.
