TRADA is an Organ of the All Kerala Joint Christian Temperance Movement (AKJCTM) which is the conglomerate of different Episcopal churches in Kerala, which was established during 1987 to combat addiction and treat the addicts. It was registered as a Charitable Society (Regn. No.K.523/87) having had (Late) Rev. Fr. George Kolath at the helm as the first Director and the then General Secretary of AKJCTM together with Sr. Dr. Joan Chunkapura, MMS, the present Secretary.Mar Joseph Pallikaparampil, Bishop Emeritus of Palai was its founder Patron and President. Rt. Rev. Thomas K. Oommen, Bishop of CSI Madhya Kerala Diocese has taken up its leadership as Patron and President in association with Mar Jacob Muriken, Auxiliary Bishop of Palai as the Vice Patron and Vice President.
